One year ago today, I came into Serenity House, frighten, insecure and confused. I really didn´t know what day it was. The thought of coping with life without a drink was just unthinkable. How different it all is today.  I wanted to write a testimonial at the end of my treatment as to how much my thinking had changed. It was suggested l give time, time.  I have done and here I am, one year after treatment clean and sober.

The alcohol problem has been removed and the life problems are still there, but what a difference. My whole outlook and attitude towards life has changed; it would seem I can handle things that used to terrify me.  Today I can handle life problems without a drink. The rewards that go with having a programme and being sober are too many to mention. Today I have an attitude of gratitude, my family back in my life, work is going well and I feel on a daily basis that life is good.

I remember when I arrived at Serenity House It was suggested to trust the process of going through the programme and more will be revealed. I think everyone with life problems needs to go through this process, it works, it really does, and it is without a doubt a life changing experience.

Thank you all at Serenity House for showing me how to change the way I think, giving me a structure to my life , and presenting me with a programme that works.
